About Practice:
Ami's office is located in the beautiful beach town of Santa Cruz, CA, on the ocean wildlife sanctuary, the Monterey Bay. Ami provides coaching and mentoring services for individuals and families, for Principles practitioners, and leads personal and public retreats (including immersion retreats in Santa Cruz), workshops and online seminars.

She currently leads a monthly drop-in class in Santa Cruz, and conducts international workshops via the web, and sometimes in person. She is available for organizational consult. Graduated from 3 Principles Services Division "Training of Trainers" program, Santa Clara County, Santa Clara Valley Health & Hospitals System, 1996. Led 3 Principles Community Internship Program, served on Leadership Team for County. Presentations and attendance at several national and global conferences. Many Sydney Banks conferences. Lifelong student of Sydney Banks. Edited "The Missing Link: Reflections on Philosophy and Spirit."

Nearly 20 years teaching, training and coaching in various settings including adult and juvenile corrections, community, schools, business and health care systems. Co-founded the Center for Sustainable Change (CSC) in 2004 with the late Dr. Roger C. Mills and served as Executive Director and Director of the National Community Resiliency Project, funded by the W. K. Kellogg Foundation. Currently founder of Ami Chen Coaching and Education, based in Northern California (San Francisco Bay Area).

Author of "The Spark Inside: A Special Book for Youth," and co-author with her late father, Roger Mills, of "State of Mind in the Classroom: Thought, Consciousness and the Essential Curriculum for Healthy Learning." Ami has conducted hundreds, possibly thousands, of trainings now across demographics. She has worked in schools with "at risk" youth for many years and provided trainings to school sites that have suffered trauma--including school shootings, student suicides and homicides.

"Training" is truly, simply, Life, itself! ... A constant back and forth, a flow, between myself and clients, groups, students, husband, kids, anyone at all! ... and this inexhaustible Now.
