About Practice:
Mission: To cultivate human potential, one thought at a time, through education, mentoring and coaching.

The Cypress Initiative, Inc., is a non-profit,501(c(3)organization established in 2007, by those who knew Sydney Banks personally. The Initiative develops and implements education, mentoring and coaching programs that focus on promoting the resiliency in individuals, businesses and communities through the teaching of the 3 principles.

From 2007-2010, The Initiative served more than 2500 clients ranging from youth to adulthood through the Second Chance Training Program. The program was facilitated in several bay area prisons, police departments and agencies.

By 2010, the S.P.A.R.K. (Speaking to the Promise, Ability and Resilience inside Kids)Teen Mentoring program was developed for at-risk youth. To date, we have served more than 600 students in schools throughout Hillsborough County.

Currently, services fall into 4 categories: Adult Momentum, Youth Action, Community Drive and Business Edge.

Education
Brooke Wheeldon-Reece, Executive Director: B.A. Interpersonal Communications, M.B.A. in Marketing. 12 years’ experience in adult education, training and evaluative program development.

All other trainers and staff are, at minimum, grounded in the 3 principles.

Training Summary
Brooke Wheeldon-Reece is The Cypress Initiative's Executive Director, lead Business Trainer and Personal Coach. Since learning about this understanding in 2012, she has trained with Chip and Jan Chipman, Judith Sedgeman, Dr. Dicken Bettinger, Dr. Aaron Turner, Sara Murre, Michael Neill and is currently enrolled in Michael Neill's 2016 Supercoach Academy.

Helen Neal-Ali is The Cypress Initiative's Community Program Coordinator and Lead Youth Mentor. Helen came to this understanding through her experience and recovery from domestic violence. She has over 18 years’ experience in 3 principles training, including training by Mr. Sydney Banks. In the past 18 years, she has also trained with Elsie Spittle, Dr. Jack Pransky, Jan and Chip Chipman, Judith Sedgeman, Dr. Bill Pettit, Christine Heath, Sara Murre and Michael Neill. She has developed and facilitated self-esteem, substance abuse and parenting programs to the clients of several, local nonprofit agencies. Now as a full-time employee for Cypress, Helen leads the charge facilitating programs in our schools and communities.

Ashley Hunt is The Cypress Initiative's Marketing Coordinator and a Youth Mentor. As the newest member of The Initiative, she brings social media and marketing expertise and has an amazing ability to connect with the youth she mentors. In the past year, while working with The Initiative, she has also had the opportunity to train with Sara Murre and Michael Neill.
